Job description
Managing Consultant - Custom Solutions
Are you experienced, technically strong, and motivated by helping others grow? Then you might be our new colleague. We are currently looking for a Managing Consultant for our Custom Solutions team in Aarhus.
At Context& we work with Microsoft solutions, always with AI as an integrated part. We are more than 330 colleagues across five offices in Denmark, collaborating with both public and private clients on projects that deliver measurable results.
You will become part of a community where we set high standards for quality and work together to solve tasks through knowledge sharing and close collaboration. With us, you’ll join a workplace where professional development, flexibility, and community go hand in hand.
Custom Solutions in Context&
In our Custom Solutions department, we develop tailored solutions that translate complex business needs into modern and secure digital solutions - primarily on Microsoft Azure. You will become part of a team where cloud-native principles, API-first design, and automation are a natural part of the work, and where you will have the opportunity to influence solutions that scale with the customer’s organization.
Your role
As a Managing Consultant, you will have a varied workday, combining client work, technical sparring, solution design, and hands-on development. You will take on a natural technical responsibility in projects and become a central figure in ensuring the quality of our solutions and supporting the team’s developers in their work.
You will work closely with both clients and colleagues - some days deeply involved in code or solution design, other days in dialogue with decision-makers, senior developers, or developers who need feedback or sparring. You will also be expected to participate in, and ideally lead, the dialogue with the customer to understand their business and translate needs and insights into concrete requirements, specifications, and a solid solution design.
Your primary areas of responsibility
Ensure the technical direction and quality in projects.
Work on client projects as your primary task.
Take on technical leadership for a team of 2–4 developers, including technical mentoring.
Collaborate closely with the team lead and act as a technical sparring partner.
Participate in sales, estimation, and scoping of projects, including proposal work focused on establishing technical solution descriptions.
Conduct reviews of architecture, code, and solution designs.
Contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives across the business unit.
Be onsite with customers when required to build strong relationships, while most work will generally be carried out from the office.
Who are you?
You are an experienced consultant who thrives at the intersection of technology, advisory work, and collaboration. You communicate clearly, take responsibility, and are motivated by creating direction – both for customers and colleagues. You can work independently but are equally effective in close dialogue with developers, seniors, and decision-makers. You are a strong team player who enjoys engaging with both colleagues and customers and is good at building relationships.
Your competencies
Technical qualifications
5–7 years of experience designing and implementing Azure or cloud solutions.
Broad technical skill set: You can code, understand architecture, and see the big picture in a cloud implementation.
Experience with API development, integrations, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and modern programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar.
Experience with agentic software development and preferably hands-on experience with tools like Claude Code.
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Understanding of security, cloud governance, and best practices.
Comfortable working with agile methodologies.
Experience with or interest in UX and preferably familiarity with Figma.
Consulting and business skills
Confident in client dialogues and experienced in advising and presenting solutions.
Experience with estimation, sales, and commercial activities.
Strong in technical sparring and supporting colleagues in qualifying their solutions.
Able to take responsibility in projects and create structure and progress.
Strong communication skills in Danish and English.
