Job description

Are you passionate about payroll, quality, and keeping a clear overview? Are you motivated by ensuring a secure and professional payroll experience for your colleagues? Then you might be our new Payroll Specialist, who we are currently looking for.

At Context& we work with Microsoft solutions, always with AI as an integrated part. We are more than 330 colleagues across five offices in Denmark, collaborating with both public and private clients on projects that deliver measurable results.

You will become part of a community where we set high standards for quality and work together to solve tasks through knowledge sharing and close collaboration. With us, you’ll join a workplace where professional development, flexibility, and community go hand in hand.

The Finance Team at Context&

You will join our finance team, where solid structures and processes are already in place—but where we are continuously curious about how we can improve and automate our ways of working.

You can expect close collaboration and sparring with colleagues who are passionate about finance and accounting and who take pride in delivering high-quality work. We work closely with the rest of the organisation and are responsible for everything from daily bookkeeping to reporting, follow-up, and optimisation. We are a service-oriented function that ensures reliable data and a healthy financial foundation.

The finance team consists of our CFO, Finance Manager, two Financial Controllers, three Business Controllers, three Financial Accountants, and four student assistants—along with you. You will work closely with colleagues who share your passion for finance and accounting.

Your responsibilities

  • Full end-to-end responsibility for payroll processing for all of Context&

  • Handling payroll-related matters, including:

    • Fixed and variable salary components (e.g. bonus, commission, allowances)

    • Pension, holiday, absence, parental leave, and reimbursements

  • Ensuring correct and timely reporting to:

    • e-Indkomst

    • Pension schemes

    • Relevant authorities

  • Reconciliation and quality assurance of payroll data in close collaboration with Finance

  • Ongoing dialogue with employees and managers regarding payroll, payslips, and payroll-related questions

  • Collaboration with People & Culture on:

    • New hires, terminations, and changes to employment terms

    • Contractual matters affecting payroll

  • Maintaining and further developing payroll processes, workflows, and documentation

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal guidelines

  • Contributing to payroll-related reporting and data used by Finance and management

Your qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Specialist, payroll consultant, or equivalent

  • Solid experience with:

    • Independent payroll processing for salaried employees

    • Danish employment and payroll legislation (holiday, parental leave, absence, etc.)

  • A structured and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to meet fixed deadlines

  • Strong system understanding and experience working with payroll systems

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data and reconciliations

  • Professional, service-minded communication skills—fluent in Danish and English

  • Comfortable collaborating with Finance, People & Culture, and managers

  • High integrity and a strong understanding of confidentiality when working with sensitive data

We know that no one can do everything—the most important thing is that you have a solid foundation in salaried payroll and are motivated to take ownership of the payroll area.
