Cyber Security Analyst

What to Expect in the Role 

You will primarily work at our Virum office and work closely with our CISO Torben Voigt Olsen, who will also be your manager.  

Your mission: Manage and continuously improve our security posture and monitor and respond to threats. If you thrive in a strong technical environment and know your way around Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll be an integral part of our IT department, working alongside skilled and dedicated colleagues, and reporting directly to our Nordic CISO. 

Your daily responsibilities will include 

• Defining, maintaining, and optimizing security configurations and policies 

• Enhancing the security level of our cloud environments and endpoints  

• Supporting vulnerability management and patching 

• Continuously improving and automating processes to focus efforts where they add the most value 

• Monitoring and handling alerts from Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for Identity 

• Assisting our CISO with ad hoc tasks 

Who Are You? 

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. 

Your educational background might include a professional bachelor’s degree in IT security, a bachelor’s in IT and information security, or a computer science degree with a security specialization—or something equivalent that has given you a solid understanding of cybersecurity and risk management. 

What we expect of you is: 

• Familiarity with Microsoft security products including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for O365, Entra ID, Intune, and Sentinel 

• Have 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity from similar roles 

• Communicate clearly—with both technical teams and business stakeholders  

• Work in a structured manner and take responsibility for both individual and shared tasks 

• Fluency in English, both written and orally 

It is a plus if you hold a relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-900, SC-200, SC-400, AZ-500, or SC-100).
