Job description

Do you want to play a central role in shaping, maturing, and operationalising customers’ AI and agent initiatives – from early strategic conversations to concrete, embedded engagements in production?

At Context&, we are looking for an experienced profile who can confidently operate at the intersection of business, technology, and execution – and who thrives in starting something new where there is no predefined playbook. This role is for someone who can take ownership in the early stages, create direction in complexity, and ensure that strong ideas turn into sustainable AI initiatives with real business value.

About the role as Strategic Engagement Lead

As Strategic Engagement Lead, you will take on a key role working closely with customers, leadership, and internal delivery teams. You operate with a helicopter perspective, but you are also able to go deep enough to ensure initiatives can be brought safely and responsibly into production.

This role is not traditional sales, and it does not carry individual billing responsibility.

Instead, your focus will be to:

  • Identify, mature, and qualify AI and agent opportunities with customers

  • Frame engagements, programmes, and initial deliveries

  • Translate business ambitions into concrete Microsoft‑based solution directions

  • Ensure that Context&’s consultants have clear, meaningful, and deliverable tasks

You will often drive the dialogue yourself – also in situations without sales involvement – and act as a trusted advisor during the earliest and most uncertain phase of the customer journey.

What you will actually be doing (based on practice)

The role is broad, but in practice your responsibilities will typically fall into the following areas:

1. Early phase & shaping

  • Drive discovery dialogues around AI, Copilot, and Agents at executive level

  • Help customers distinguish between “AI ambitions” and realistic, value‑creating use cases

  • Identify dependencies across data, governance, security, organisation, and capabilities

  • Translate unclear problem statements into concrete next steps (MVP, pilot, project)

2. Engagement framing

  • Define scope, approach, and delivery models for AI and agent initiatives

  • Establish together with the customer:

    • Goals and success criteria

    • Governance and operating model

    • Roles (human‑in‑the‑loop, accountability, decision rights)

  • Create a shared narrative that can be anchored both commercially and in delivery

3. Microsoft AI & Agents in practice

  • Position and apply the Microsoft ecosystem both tactically and strategically:

    • Copilot Studio Agents

    • Power Platform

    • Dynamics 365

    • AI Foundry

  • Advise on:

    • Governance, ALM, and environment strategies

    • Security, access management, and compliance

    • Measuring adoption, usage, and business value

  • Ensure that solutions are production‑ready, not just demo‑ready

4. Handover and internal orchestration

  • Hand over engagements clearly and structurally to consultants and delivery teams

  • Ensure delivery has:

    • Clear direction

    • A well‑understood business context

    • Realistic expectations

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, frameworks, and continuous maturation of offerings

Typical engagement types

  • AI value, risk, and roadmap workshops, and how they align with the Microsoft ecosystem

  • AI & Agent discovery: from POV / MVP to production and scale

  • Copilot enablement

  • Advisory on AI operating models and decision frameworks

Who we imagine you are

We imagine you come from the IT consulting industry or a Microsoft partner / tech environment, and that you have worked closely with customers and senior leadership.

Musthave

  • Several years of experience in advisory, engagement management, or programme leadership

  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft landscape (Power Platform, Copilot, Dynamics 365)

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into concrete solution directions

  • Comfortable engaging with C‑level decision‑makers

  • A natural commercial mindset and an eye for where value is created

  • Have had your AI “wow‑moment” – and can’t stop exploring what AI can do

  • Actively keeps up with AI developments (broadly)

Strong nicetohave

  • Hands‑on experience with AI and agent initiatives (not just strategy)

  • Experience working with governance, adoption, ALM, or operating models

  • Interest in developing and maturing services, concepts, and offerings (and capable of building the first prototypes yourself)

  • Experience working at the intersection between pre‑engagement and delivery

What matters most is not your previous title – but that you see yourself in a role where you start initiatives, create direction, and build bridges between business, technology, and execution.
